LLM Wars is a management sim about the AI race: you start a lab in a garage in 2020, rent a GPU, hire your first researchers and train your first model. Twelve in-game years later, you find out what you built.
Why an AI lab?
Management sims let you run a game studio, a hospital or a theme park. The AI boom has all the same ingredients: a small team, a big bet, rivals shipping every week, and money arriving faster than anyone can think.
The difference is that in this story, the product you ship changes the world it is sold in.
So every model you release is reviewed by benchmarks, developers, the press and a safety board. Then the market reacts, then the public, and eventually the government. Moving fast earns fans and funding. It also ships flaws, and flaws become incidents.

What's in it
- Six acts, from a garage to a tower, with music that starts as hopeful chiptune and gets darker as the decade goes on.
- Choices about what to train, how big to go and how careful to be, and whether to release closed or give the weights away.
- Hiring, poaching and fundraising, where every round costs you a share of the company.
- Seven endings, from Steward to Replaced.
- Worldwide Game Center leaderboards for your best model, final fans and fortune.
The pixel art, the music and the little 3D offices are all made in-house. The game plays offline, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no accounts.
What's next
We're working on a small update and will write here about how the game was designed and built. If you play it, a rating on the App Store helps a small studio more than you'd think.
